One map for every public bin
Bin Map is a free, non-commercial community project. It shows where recycling and waste bins are today, and helps plan where new ones should go so each bin serves about the same number of people.
We map every bin
Each bin gets a short code, like
US-PHL-00012, so anyone can point to exactly the one they mean.We plan where new ones go
Population estimates show where people live, so new bins go where they'll serve the most people. Planned spots appear on the map before they're built.
We keep it current
Every bin is marked installed, planned or broken, and bins that are taken away leave the map.
